Parakeets in the Garden

Parakeets aren't a bird usually associated with the UK, but they are known to live nearby. When we moved to this house nearly six years ago, we used to see them in our garden all the time, then they disappeared for a while. I was delighted to see them back again the other day!

They didn't visit our garden, but my husband managed to get these shots of them resting in a neighbour's tree.

I believe these are ring-necked parakeets and are often spotted in and around London. It's quite common to see them, but exciting nonetheless!
